Mohamed Ali
Project Manager
Mohamed Ali is a Project Manager with Altai Consulting based in Mogadishu. He is a Research and MERL specialist and has worked on complex multi-sectoral projects funded by UN Agencies, FCDO, USAID, World Bank and EU in Somalia, Kenya and Ethiopia. Currently, Mohamed acts as the Deputy Strategic Advisor for the ISF (previously CSSF) portfolio in Somalia. He manages Altai’s Third-Party Monitoring for GIZ to support the Strengthening Resilience for Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs), Returnees and Host Communities (‘SHIR’ project) in Baidoa District. He also continues to support Altai’s work on SSFIII and SSJPII. Prior to joining Altai, Mohamed worked for four years as a Monitoring, Verification and Reporting Officer on a USAID Third Party Monitoring project in Somalia, working closely with USAID implementing partners in the development sector. He has also contributed to several evaluations in Somalia including of the EUTF portfolio. Mohamed holds an MA in Economic Policy Management from the University of Nairobi and a bachelor’s degree in Economics and Finance from Kenyatta University.
