Maia Blume

Maia Blume is a Consultant and Learning Lead with Altai Consulting based in Nairobi. She carries out research and learning activities for conflict and stabilisation programmes across the Horn of Africa and East Africa regions. Prior to joining Altai, she worked with Wasafiri Consulting in Nairobi, where she served as the knowledge and learning director on two regional preventing/countering violent extremism programmes and led a range of other evaluation, research and learning projects for clients and donors in the conflict, governance and humanitarian sectors. Maia has nearly a decade of work experience in Africa, including working with Forcier Consulting in Somalia and Sierra Leone. She holds an MA in international affairs with concentrations in international economics and conflict management from the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) and a BA in international affairs with a concentration in international development from The George Washington University.
