Louis Lafond

Analyst

Louis Lafond is an Analyst at Altai Consulting's West Africa office, based in Dakar.

Prior to joining Altai, Louis gained field experience in Sierra Leone, where he worked for two years as a Research Associate for an international team of economists. He contributed to impact evaluations of development projects in renewable energy, agriculture, and health, using large quantitative datasets to apply experimental and quasi-experimental methods. Louis was also involved in the collection of qualitative data, and in the training and supervision of field teams. He collaborated with local partners, international institutions and donors such as the World Bank, UNICEF, UNOPS, and FCDO. He also worked as a socio-economic analyst at Xerfi and Pragma Études, contributing to sectoral studies and economic intelligence.

Louis holds a Master's degree in International Affairs and Development from Paris Dauphine University – PSL, and completed training courses on field research management through the World Bank's Development Impact Evaluation (DIME) department.
