Briac Chevallier Chantepie

Project Manager

Briac Chevallier Chantepie is a Project Manager at Altai Consulting.

Briac has extensive experience in emerging markets, specializing in the project evaluation and private sector development across Africa and the Middle East.
He has led multiple evaluations of private sector-oriented projects across multiple sectors – such as early stage clean energy technologies (for EEP Africa) or for financial inclusions projects (for the GIZ). He managed multiple research projects on private sector development, mobilizing mixed methods. This includes a recent research for a major industry association active in Asia and Africa, various studies on start-up financing in Africa for a leading multilateral institution, and a market assessment of Afghan digital financial services for the IFC. Briac also contributed to several large-scale quantitative studies in emerging markets notably on clean energy, agriculture and climate.
Before joining Altai Consulting, Briac worked at the French Ministry for Economy’s Directorate General for Enterprise. There, he contributed to research and policy coordination for private sector R&D and innovation under the French government’s Investment for the Future program.
Briac holds a Master’s in Management from HEC Paris, one of Europe’s top business schools, and a Masters’ from Sciences Po Paris with a specialization in Corporate and Public Management. He is fluent in French and English and has a basic understanding of Arabic and German.
