Alice Leroy
Env. & Climate Expert
Alice is an Environment and Climate expert and Project Director at Altai Consulting. She supports Altai’s work across all regions, advising clients on the design of complex, multi-country programmes tackling climate change impacts and biodiversity protection. She also previously served as Altai’s Deputy Director for West Africa, supporting the firm’s regional growth and contributing to the development of Altai Consulting’s Environment and Climate practice in the region.
Before joining Altai, Alice worked as a Public Partnerships Manager at the World Wildlife Fund (WWF), where she led the development of WWF France’s international project portfolio. She managed project implementation and Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning, and oversaw relationships with local partners and public donors, notably AFD, the EU and Expertise France. Over six years within the WWF international network, she developed strong expertise in biodiversity and climate, with a particular focus on WWF France’s priority geographies (Central Africa, North Africa and Madagascar) and on key global agendas, including the post-2020 global biodiversity framework, resource mobilization, biodiversity and climate mainstreaming, and aligning investor and donor portfolios with global climate and biodiversity frameworks.
Alice also worked for the French Agency for Development (AFD) in Gabon and São Tomé and Príncipe as a Project Officer, covering protected area management and financing, the forestry and timber industry and agroecological value chains. She oversaw projects financed through the France–Gabon Debt Conversion Agreement (debt-for-nature swap).
Alice holds a double Master’s degree in International Relations from Sciences Po Aix (France) and in Economics from CERDI (Centre d’Études et de Recherches sur le Développement International).
