Learning study on 20 years of France - IUCN Partnership

Altai was mandated to conduct a learning study on the 20 years of existence and intervention of the France-IUCN Partnership (2005-2025). This work came at a pivotal moment, with 2025 marking 20 years of the France-IUCN Partnership, in a political context of declining ODA and ambitions for ecological transition, reinforcing the need to highlight the Partnership's successes and to better define an overall narrative that will showcase its 20 years of intervention to justify its continuation.

Altai's work traced the partnership’s evolution and impacts over the past 20 years—from advancing Nature-based Solutions to supporting tools like the Green List for protected areas; and helped put forward the significance of this long-standing collaboration and its relevance for today’s biodiversity and climate challenges.
