A Rapid Assessment of Municipalities of Departure of Migrants in Libya

Altai Consulting was commissioned by the Embassy of the Netherlands to Libya to conduct an assessment of migration-related dynamics and actors in the main embarkation points for boats crossing the Mediterranean.
The study aims at informing sustainable responses to the current migration crisis and targeted programming in key municipalities of departure along the coast of West Libya. The research engaged with local authorities and communities to involve them in the process of identifying needs and formulating potential policies.
