Matthieu Rouyer
Quantitative Analyst
Matthieu Rouyer is a Quantitative Analyst with Altai’s East Africa team, where he supports Altai’s quantitative research assignments for a range of clients including the UK Government, UN agencies and the World Bank. Prior to joining Altai, Matthieu was consulting in Somalia for the World Bank, contributing to the latest Somalia Country Economic Memorandum and providing on-demand analysis of high-frequency fiscal, financial and commercial data. Before that, he was an Overseas Development Institute (ODI) Fellow in Somaliland, where he supported the government in building up its statistical infrastructure and formulating development plans and policies. Matthieu holds a Master’s degree in International Economics and Development from Dauphine, Paris Sciences et Lettres University. He is fluent in French and English, has a working command of Spanish and conversational knowledge in Italian and Somali.
