Corporate Finance – Project Highlights

Debt Financing: Access to a multi-million dollar loan for a carbonized soft drink (CSD) bottler, Afghanistan

At the request of an international financing institution (lender), we have developed a detailed, realistic and data-backed 5-year business plan for the local franchised bottler of one of the top 3 largest, and best known, US CSD brand. Our work was the cornerstone of the loan application ($3m), which eventually went through.

Debt Financing: On-going support to a mobile operator in interactions with international lenders

For a large mobile operator we have been providing, over several years, an on-going contribution to the production of lenders reports which were shared with past/future lenders. Our specific mission on this assignment was to validate every assumption in the business plan related to market growth.

M&A: Identification & valuation of targets in the Central Asia media industry

We conducted an in-depth analysis of the media industry (Print, TV, Radio & Web) in 3 Central Asian countries for a European-based player looking at investment opportunities. The project included sophisticated forecasting of the advertising market for each country, full review of the legal & regulatory environment, and financial valuation of primary targets.

M&A: Identification of targets for a private equity fund in Central Asia

For a $20m+ private equity fund looking at investments in Central Asia, we have developed a customized methodology to identify attractive targets which reconciled robust growth, solid management, attractive perspectives and transparent financial processes.

M&A: Strategic investment review, agribusiness industry

For a large private/public European investment structure, we have conducted a detailed analysis of a past investment which had not yielded satisfying returns, and explored all potential options: Complete/partial divestment? Increased participation? etc.

M&A: Potential acquisition of one of Afghanistan’s largest manufacturing plants

We have worked jointly for a Fortune 500 consumer goods company and a Europe-based investment fund on the acquisition of Afghanistan’s largest manufacturing plant (in the industry of our client).
