DESCRIPTION
The analyst will serve as a key technical member in diverse projects, including social research surveys, market research surveys, and data mining for private sector clients.
Key aspects of the consultant’s mission will be to:
- Design and analyze complex sampling plans for face-to-face surveys
- Work with the project team to translate business questions to data elements in Data Warehouses and creatively extract, modify and reduce data to enable modeling efforts.
- Analyze survey and operational data using techniques including Regression Analysis (e.g., GLMs), Clustering/Segmentation Algorithms, Survival Analysis, etc.
- Employ GIS to support the work of survey teams
- Produce analytical reports and presentations
- Provide basic technical instruction and support to international and national consultants
- Supervise data entry staff
Requirements:
> Experience with statistical software, preferably SPSS
> SQL skills are required and knowledge of databases/DBMS is required
> Degree in a quantitative field
> Must be able to communicate complex ideas to non-technical audiences
> Proficiency in English (written and oral)
Previous experience working with complex sample plans (i.e. stratified, multi-stage cluster household surveys) is highly desirable.
