Evaluation of implementing partners of the Afghan National Solidarity Program (NSP)

Altai Consulting has conducted for the World Bank an evaluation of the country’s flagship program NSP accross Afghanistan. The evaluation covered contractual fulfillments, adherence to the objectives and processes of NSP, management, cost-effectiveness, and implementation strategies of leading NGOs in Afghanistan, in addition to a study of the social impact of the program on Afghan villages.

Research and strategy for the Afghanistan Capacity Development Program

In 2007, Altai Consulting was commissioned by USAID and Bearing Point to aid in the launching phase of a 5 years Capacity Development Program in Afghanistan. Our teams have conducted a series of studies, including the assessment of several Afghan Ministries, a review of 1,000 Afghan NGOs, and a full analysis of the construction and IT & communication sectors.

Study on the reintegration of returnees from Iran & Pakistan

Altai Consulting has led a research survey for ILO and the UNHCR assessing the impact and integration of returnees on the Afghan labor market. The purpose was to analyze integration patterns, identify gaps and needs and propose innovative integration strategies.

Preparatory work for the Paris International Donor Conference

In June 2008, a major donor conference will be organized in Paris to support Afghan reconstruction. Altai Consulting was commissioned by the French Development Agency and the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs to provide conference participants with strategic papers.
