Nicolas Fasquelle is a Project Director at Altai's Social & Research Evaluation Department and has extensive experience in project management and international affairs.
Nicolas joined Altai in October 2005 and has managed a research survey for ILO which assessed the impact and integration of returnees in the Afghan labor market. The survey involved 25 interviewers in three major Afghan provinces and used a combination of qualitative and quantitative tools.
Prior to joining Altai, Nicolas worked five years in both nonprofit organizations and consulting firms. During that time, he initiated and led a research survey on the aspirations of university students in 24 countries. After 15 months of field work, 3000 questionnaires, and 300 case studies, he co-authored a report published in June 2000 which received a strong echo in international media. In the consulting realm, Nicolas spearheaded the development of Altran Technologies in the United States through the independent setup of a business unit specializing in Aerospace and Defense. Additionally, he was Senior Associate Consultant at Bain and Company's Paris office.
Nicolas lived 7 years in the United States and 2 years in the United Kingdom. He speaks French and English fluently and has a good knowledge of Spanish. Impassioned by international security affairs, he co-authored a book on the European Union's foreign policy published by Nomos in December 2004.
Nicolas earned an M.B.A. from ESSEC, one of France's leading business schools, and a Master in Public Administration from the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.
